Join the Arizona Mortgage Lenders Association today!

Become a member of the Arizona Mortgage Lenders Association (AMLA) and you’ll be joining an active network of hundreds of mortgage professionals. As a member, you can take advantage of all the great opportunities and benefits we offer.

Stay informed

We make sure our members are aware of both state and federal legislation affecting the mortgage industry. On the state level, AMLA has a professional lobbyist – Tom Farley with Willetta Partners. Prior to co-founding Willetta Partners, Mr. Farley was the CEO and Chief Lobbyist for the Arizona Association of Realtors (AAR) – the largest trade association in Arizona. Mr. Farley’s in depth knowledge and experience in the housing industry is invaluable!

On a national level, AMLA is a chapter of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) which is headquartered in Washington, D.C. MBA represents all facets of the real estate industry, and represents over 2,200 member companies. Every spring, AMLA sends representatives from our Board of Directors to D.C. for the National Advocacy Conference, where they are able to meet with key legislators for the finance industry.

Let your voice be heard

We are always looking for members to serve on our committees or Board of Directors. Make yourself heard and interact with other professionals who are facing the same issues you are!

Stay Educated

AMLA is one of the few NMLS approved providers in Arizona offering the 8 hours of continuing education as required by the SAFE Act. We have one of the best national trainers in the country, Mary Kay Scully with Enact. AMLA also offers workshops and seminars designed for our members to stay up-to-date and competitive in today’s complex mortgage industry.

An event that was going to take place once is now going on 20 years. AMLA has partnered with the Arizona Association of Realtors (AAR) and the Arizona State Escrow Association (ASEA) for an annual event — the Industry Partners Day. This is an all day event where our lender members join realtors and escrow officers to tackle relevant issues that affect all parts of the real estate transaction.

Our annual conference is held each June and features motivational speakers, sales training, updates on the government agencies, and much more.

Network with your Peers

Mingle and network with your peers at our many monthly events. With the exception of July, we have opportunities for our members every month to interact – breakfast and lunch meetings, happy hours, spring training baseball game, fall golf tournament, and a holiday party to end the year.

How can I justify the time away from work?

You can’t do your job well with old information. And you can’t expect a better tomorrow if you don’t improve yourself today. As an AMLA member, you can expect to learn and grow by attending events available to you. Like anything in life, you will get more out of your membership if you make an investment of your time. Stay involved and be willing to participate — you will see the results.

How can I connect with other industry professionals? There are so many ways to get involved with AMLA. What is the best path for me?
Start by attending a monthly breakfast or lunch meeting. These meetings are designed to help you make connections and to learn new, relevant information. Use the knowledge and experience of other members. The more meetings you attend, the more you will make those business-building connections. If you are an Associate or Vendor Member, find out what sponsorship opportunities are available to increase your company’s exposure.

Yes, there are many ways to get involved with but don’t be overwhelmed. Start by attending a monthly meeting or two. Then join one of our committees which suits your interests. We are always looking to expand our committees on membership, social events, the annual conference and education. Participation on a committee will be a rewarding experience! If you like participating on a committee, the next step would be to seek a Board of Directors position. For more information on both of those opportunities, talk to our Executive Director or any of our current Board members.

“I have had the privilege of being a member of the Arizona Mortgage Lenders Association for over 10 years. There are countless benefits to being a part of AMLA, especially for associate members. I have made many friends, been introduced to the ‘movers & shakers’ of the lending industry and have numerous resources at my fingertips. Once you become involved in AMLA, you do not want to stop at being just a member — you will feel compelled to serve in a greater capacity.”
